What's Happening with those Houses: Part Deux

Kody busting some dirt klods
When we last left the 'cuddle sac' way back in July (and about 4 months after filming ended for season 4), the only ground broken were dirt klods from Kody's frenetic run around the lots.

On September 1st, we reported to you that a neighbor had noticed ground had been broken on the south end of the cuddle-sac, the lots the Browns were shown writing checks totalling $20000 to hold.

Now of course, no one in the Brown Kamp was saying anything...other than a rather loose lipped Christine who told an University audience in October that they did not get the homes. So all we knew was that there was some kind of movement happening, we just didn't know who was initiating it.

Two episodes ago, the Browns supposedly got the pre-approval for the four loans, despite 3 bankruptcies in 15 years. And a wife, who had enough money stashed away to write a $5000 earnest money check, but not enough money to pay off a $4000 credit card account in collections. And another wife who, after being the first to declare bankruptcy in 1997, slipped back into bad credit habits. Not to mention still another wife who hasn't learned yet that if you don't pay the car note they take the car away and if you don't pay the water bill, they shut it off. Even if it is a small amount.

Well, I'm happy to report that the movement in the 'cuddle sac' has been confirmed. Houses have been built with just the roofs left for completion. According to redfin.com, the lots are no longer being shown because "...the sellers have accepted an offer that is now pending or under contract." Not a definitive answer, but pretty darn close.

So until we hear to the contrary (and despite Christine's loosey goosey lips) let's all join in congratulating the Browns in their purchase of 4 high-priced McMansions. Remember how Kody told Papa Joe that he was looking for a mansion that had 22 bedrooms, 4 kitchens and 15000 sqft living area? Well, he got at least 20 bedrooms, 4 kitchens (plus one wetbar) and almost 18000 sqft. Take that Papa Joe. Oh yeah, all for almost 2 million dollars and without a J.O.B.

So let's take a look, shall we?

Refreshing our collective memories, Kody and his Kodettes,  are purchasing  lots 6-9 in a gated cul-de-sac.
To the left is an image of  the graphic we saw on the show.

The plat map (image on the right) shows the location of those lots in the cul-de-sac

And below is a satellite picture of the cul-de-sac, taken in June 2012.

Note that the Brown's lots are at the south end of the development  (the end with no construction in this picture)

Here is a panorama photo of the south end of the cul-de-sac, taken within a month of the satellite picture.

And a photo with the camera pointed towards the north, showing lots 1-5.

About four months later (late November 2012) the once barren south end has now sprouted four new houses nearing completion.

Looking through the gate:  Brown Lot 6 is over to the right in this picture.

On the right side of this photo are lot  6 and  lot  9 (the lots are across the street from each other)
Here's a photo showing lots 6, 7, and 9. Lot 8 is hidden from view.

Last, here are the floor plans. According to one of our sources, the same model floor plan was used for each house. We've also been told that the floor plans and driving directions to the cuddle sac apparently have been pulled from Mona the real estate lady's website and the developer's website, but may still be found on other real estate websites that may have listed the properties.

Here's a big thank you to all the SWB followers who contributed to this article! Thank you very much!
